The vLBV300-L is the extended excursion vLBV system with tether lengths up 2,000 meters (6,000ft) and a minimal 492mm (19.4in)cross section.

Long line excursion capability

The vLBV300-L builds on the standard vLBV300 system with it’s increased tether capability. With tether lengths up to 2,000 meters (6,000ft), small cross section, powerful thrusters and impressive payload the vLBV300-L is the ideal long line penetration or inspection system.

Powerful variable vector thruster configuration

Vectored thruster configuration provides amazing control in all horizontal directions. The vLBV300-L has the unique ability to vary the vector for specific applications. With a standard pulling power of 18.1 kg f (40 pd f) the vLBV300-L easily pulls the long line tether. When conditions are more extreme the operator can adjust the vector to produce 22.5 kg f (50 pd f) of Bollard thrust.

Flexible payload/sensor platform

The vLBV300-L is a highly operator customizable system providing a flexible payload capability. Different applications require different sensors as well as mounting configurations. A variety of sonars, NTD sensors and mechanical tools are available to help meet the requirements of the mission.

Built in serial and Ethernet data transfer

As part of the performance of the vLBV300-L are the included communication ports. There are built in ports for Ethernet (100mbps), serial RS232 (115k baud) and serial RS485. Industry standard connectors are installed on the vLBV300-L eBottle for easy connectivity.

Ultra low drag, strong tether

The vLBV300-L uses the low drag, tether that SeaBotix is known for. At 8mm (0.3in) nominal diameter and 100 kg f (220 pd f) working load the tether has minimal impact on the performance. To cope with the longer tether lengths the tether utilizes a multi-mode fiber for data and video. The tether can be attached to the rear or top of the vLBV300-L depending on conditions.

Intuitive control system

Teledyne SeaBotix MiniROV controls have been regarded as the most intuitive of all small ROVs. The vLBV300-L is no different with the user friendly operator control unit and integrated control console.
